Muskegon Yacht Club JUNIOR RACE TEAM

Racing is a fun and exciting way to enjoy the sport of sailing. Being part of a team of fellow sailors builds friendships that last a lifetime!

The MYC Junior Racing Program offers youth sailors aged 8-19 the opportunity for adventure, to learn leadership and communication skills,  and experience the thrill of sailboat racing.

​

Experienced sailors will spend their summer sharpening their skills with a flexible program designed to give them abundant time on the water.  Team members will have the opportunity to sail Monday through Thursday during sailing school hours to improve their skills.  Race team practice will give our team racing skills and build confidence on the water. They will learn the racing rules, and how regattas are conducted, and gain competitive experience through on-the-water coaching and mentoring.

Muskegon Yacht Club membership is a requirement for participation on the Junior Race Team
